Dwora Stein (born December 28, 1954 in Vienna) is a union official. She studied psychology and pedagogy at the University of Vienna. From 1983 to 1989 she worked as a secretary in the state secretariat Styria for Union of Private Employees (Gewerkschaft der Privatangestellten, GPA) in charge of the section "Money and Credit" and the section "Social Security". Wants to enforce women quota: "In industries such as metal industry, there are of course only a few women, but even there you could do more to embed women at management level. All unions should implement the quota system, decided in OGB Congress [Austrian Trade Union Federation]. [...] I am for legal quotas and for penalties [if quotas are not respected]."
