Eliezer "Elie" Wiesel KBE (born September 30, 1928) is an American Romanian-born Jewish writer, professor, political activist, Holocaust survivor, and Nobel Laureate. Wiesel has authored many books, the best known of which is Night, a memoir about his alleged Holocaust experiences.
