Volker Beck (December 12, 1960) is a German Green party politician. Beck served as the Green Party Speaker for Legal Affairs from 1994–2002, and as the Green Party Chief Whip in the Bundestag 2002–2013. In 2014 he was elected as President of the German-Israeli Parliamentary Friendship Group of the German Bundestag. After being found in possesion of Crystal Meth by the police he resigned from most positions, only retaining his seat in parliament.
Beck wrote an essay in an anthology in 1988 where he advocated the legalisation of sexual relationships between adults and children.

In an interview with "Focus Online" he used Christianity as a reason to justify Germany accepting all refugees. In the same interview he described the Alternative für Deutschland party (AfD, Alternative for Germany) and the Pegida movements as being racist and carried by "old white heterosexual men who feel threatened by either Muslims, refugees or homosexuals."
Wrote the following regarding a newly built mosque in Cologne: "As a resident of Cologne I say: I am pleased about the architecturally successful mosque of DITIB in Ehrenfeld. It is a new landmark of our city."
